Every year students from across Long Island submit different types of extraordinary artwork, including painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, photography, printmaking and computer art.
We look forward to another successful showcase with an array of wonderful artwork from children of all ages.
There are four categories for student entries:
K-3rd grades
4th-6th grades
7th-9th grades
10th-12th grades
A panel of art professionals will select 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for each category.
Medals will be awarded to the winning participants at the awards ceremony on Monday, June 9th.
Entry form submission deadline is Friday, April 18th.
All artwork must be submitted to our office by 4:45pm on Friday, April 25th.
The gallery at the Educational and Cultural Center will be open to teachers, students and their parents to view the art show.
Exhibition Dates: May 8th – June 9th
Viewing Hours: Wednesday - Sunday, 2:30pm - 4:00pm

A drawing will be held after each performance to pick the winner of a $25 gas card redeemable at the Stony Brook Village Green Service Station.
Performances: Opening Day, Thursday, May 8, 11:30 am; Thereafter Wednesdays – Saturdays 11:30 am; Sundays, 12:30 pm

Our spectacular “Home with...” musical theatre series continues as we proudly present the remarkable story of Nat “King” Cole.
Nathaniel Adams Coles was born in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1919 and christened Nat “King” Cole by a Los Angeles club owner in 1937. He conquered the pop charts in the Fifties and early Sixties with timeless ballads like “Mona Lisa,” and “Unforgettable,” and the melodious, smooth sounds of “Ramblin’ Rose” and “Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days of Summer.” He led the King Cole Trio from 1937 to 1955 and recorded the famous “(Get Your Kicks On) Route 66” in 1946.
His work as a musical pioneer is undeniable.

The Brewster House,c.1665 is officially placed on the New York State and National Register of Historic Places.
In commemoration, we have received permission from Special Collections, Stony Brook University Libraries, to display an original document written by George Washington during the American Revolution.
Enjoy an open house, official ceremony, refreshments, games for children, and Revolutionary War characters.

Students who successfully complete all course requirements will receive 3 undergraduate credits through Stony Brook University!
Course Synopsis:
This course examines one of the region’s most important and threatened coastal marine environments - the Long Island
Sound. The course features introductory lectures on each habitat followed by extensive hands-on
field sampling trips and supporting laboratory exercises.
Instructors:
Course instructors are advanced graduate students from Stony Brook University’s School of Marine & Atmospheric Sciences.
